Julian is a partner in our local government team based in our Richmond office.

Julian is an experienced resource management practitioner. He has conducted numerous contested proceedings in the Environment Court, District Court, and High Court on resource consent and planning matters, enforcement matters, and prosecutions.

He has extensive general litigation experience gained both within a leading law firm in Wellington and as a Barrister in the UK for eight years. He specialises in resource management and public law. In addition to conducting Court proceedings, Julian advises on all aspects of resource management practice. He works closely with Council officers on both policy and consent matters. He also advises on infrastructure developments, designations, public works legislation, information disclosure requirements and general litigation matters.
