Ken Beckett

Ken has established a reputation as one of the district's leading public lawyers as a result of his lengthy experience in the field. After gaining a degree from Otago University and working for a prominent Dunedin firm, Ken moved to Nelson in 1973 and took over the legal representation for the Nelson City Council.

Ken has appeared in most Courts and many tribunals, although his work has become more focused on public law issues over the years.

Ken is a keen sportsman and plays golf regularly. Ken was formerly a leading rugby referee and keen cricketer.
