Chris Wright

It is a long way from archaeology to law but Chris Wright took both paths.

Chris joined Fletcher Vautier Moore in 2000 and became a Partner the following year. He completed degrees in both Anthropology and Law at Otago University, and has travelled extensively overseas. Before joining Fletcher Vautier Moore Chris was an Associate with a prominent Christchurch law firm.

As an idealistic 17 year old, being an archaeologist appealed, but Chris took law as a filler for the first year, and was hooked. He considers completing both degrees has given him a better grounding, and his overseas travel confirmed to him and wife Sally, Nelson was where they wanted to raise a family.

As a member of the Commercial Team, Chris deals in commercial law including property, company contracts, financing, securities, banking, creditor protection and estate planning and trusts. He enjoys the fact that no two transactions are the same, and the satisfaction of seeing people achieve their goal - from buying their first home to purchasing a large business.
A keen outdoors person, Chris enjoys the mountain biking, tramping and skiing Nelson has to offer.
